About the Position:
We are presently seeking to fill a Gas Mechanic Helper positions at our Watertown location at a starting hourly rate of $32.55. In addition, we offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, 401(k) plan, vacation, tuition assistance and more. Under general supervision to assist Gas Mechanics of higher classification and as proficiency increases to perform work of progressively increasing variety and complexity on our underground natural gas distribution network.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must possess valid CDL A or B
  • Should be mechanically inclined and capable of performing strenuous work;
  • Must pass physical abilities examination.
  • Must pass validated aptitude test
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Construction and pipe fitting experience is preferred

NOTE: Employees who demonstrate their aptitude for the work and establish a satisfactory record as a Gas Mechanic Helper will be promoted to a Gas Mechanic A. A satisfactory record must include the successful completion of Gas Mechanic A school and meeting the qualifications set forth for a Gas Mechanic A.

  • $32.55/Hr

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.

Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
