Wieland is hiring a Regional Sales Manager. TheRegional Sales Manager will be responsible for strategic account management, new business development, and leading outside sales efforts within the Central and Midwest U.S. This role focuses on driving revenue growth and profitability across both core Wieland offerings and emerging specialty products such as Eco Brass rod, Eco Bronze ingot, bushing and bearing materials, and forged components. The manager will foster strong customer relationships, ensure operational excellence in sales processes, and provide leadership to a team of Outside Sales Representatives. internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

    Customer Management & Sales Execution
    * Provide direct sales coverage and strategic account management for the Central and Midwest U.S. region.
    * Build and sustain strong relationships with existing customers through regular visits and ongoing communication.
    * Identify, target, and convert new leads for core and specialty product lines.
    * Support and participate in industry trade shows, customer events, and promotional activities.
    Commercial Strategy & Performance
    * Drive growth and profitability by expanding into new markets, developing new customers, and introducing new products.
    * Track key sales metrics and provide insight-driven updates to leadership through sales reports and forecasting tools.
    * Negotiate pricing, terms, and supply contracts to maximize customer value and company ROI.
    * Monitor and manage customer credit, pricing competitiveness, and scrap return compliance.
    Team & Regional Oversight
    * Oversee local and regional sales operations, including hiring, training, and performance management of sales team members.
    * Approve sales budgets, forecast projections, and regional expenditures.
    * Coordinate cross-functional support to resolve customer challenges and improve service delivery.
    * Maintain accurate and timely input into internal CRM and Alloy Forecast systems.
    Strategic & Tactical Leadership
    * Analyze commercial and market data to generate sales strategies aligned with division goals.
    * Lead initiatives to meet or exceed ROI, EBITDA, and volume targets for the region.
    * Support market data documentation and contribute to the development of divisional strategy.
    * Represent Wieland professionally, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years in Sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience in metals, copper-based products, or industrial/technical product sales preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, inspire, and drive team performance.
  • Ability to develop customer solutions, conduct cold calls, and close deals independently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills-both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to travel extensively across the assigned region, including overnight travel and evening events.
  • Proficient in MS Office; CRM or ERP system knowledge is a plus.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain a U.S. Passport for international travel purposes.
  • Must meet requirements for CA CDL Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
