340B AUDIT SPECIALIST

General Purpose of Job:

Maintain pharmacy split billing software for SHS hospital retail and contract pharmacies to ensure compliance with 340B program guidelines. Conduct 340B drug program audits for hospital retail and contract pharmacies. Requires a strong knowledge of the 340B program and the strict regulatory requirements associated with it. This position also requires the ability to execute special projects and assist with other duties as direct to meet departmental needs.

• Must have strong understanding of the 340B drug pricing program and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain pharmacy split billing software. Ensure products are added with the correct NDC and purchasing conversion factors. Assist 340B Retail Manager in maintaining physician list for each hospital in split billing software.
• Conduct 340B drug program audits for hospital owned retail and contract pharmacies.
• Review, add, or delete NDC as needed from the split billing software.
• Monitor SHS pharmacy processes related to 340B compliance. Report findings to the 340B Retail Manager and/or HRSA primary contact for each hospital. Assis in the development of process improvement plans.
• Review WAC purchases in conjunction with Pharmacy Buyer to identify reason and make necessary corrections.
• Assist Sparrow Audit and Compliance and SHS Pharmacies respond to external audits requests including HRSA and manufacturer audits.
• Supports and assists the 340B Retail Manager in the implementation of new contract pharmacies
• Serve as a member of the SHS 340B Retail Task Force. Report audit findings to the Task Force, aid in development of SHS 340B Policies and Procedures and action plans to address any deficiencies discovered during the audit process.
• Periodically visit all Hospital-owned retail pharmacies to ensure oversight of the 340B program and maintain contact with related personal on location.
• Analyze 340B claim data to maximize program benefit to covered entity and entity owned pharmacies.
• Support or assist with training new audit technicians.
• Suggest and participate in process improvement opportunities in the performance of duties.
