Overview

The Advanced Therapeutics Program Director is responsible for the onboarding and utilization of gene therapies, cellular therapies, therapeutic vaccines, and other complex therapies. The Program Director is responsible for for the clinical, operational, and financial considerations surroundings use of advanced therapy products. This individual collaborates with medicine, nursing, research, finance, payor relations, and revenue cycle to optimize the acquisition strategies that ensure the highest quality patient care.

Responsibilities

    Clinical: Evaluates approved therapies and monitors the incoming pipeline of therapies in coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Operations: Assess the feasibility of the pharmaceutical company's requirements compared to the operational capability of the treatment site.
  • Finance: Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy and Compliance Business and CMH Finance on procurement procedures for new medications.
  • Leadership: Manage multiple projects and initiatives, demonstrating strong organization and communication skills.
  • Regulatory/Quality: Collaborate within and outside of the pharmacy department to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and practice standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy and 5-7 years experience or equivalent - 1 yr residency and 3 years working experience OR 2 yr residency (with one year management emphasis) and 2 years working may substitute for 5 years experience; Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital environment with responsibility for coordinating pharmacy services would be most helpful for this position; Evidenced ability in organizational and practice leadership.

  • Licensed Pharmacist - MO
  • Employees must obtain Licensed Pharmacist - MO or equivalent within 90 days
  • PHARM LIC MO Licensed Pharmacist - MO Required 90 Days
  • PHARM LIC KS Licensed Pharmacist - KS (if primary location is KS) Required 90 Days
  • Specialty Certification Preferred Upon Hire

Starting Pay



Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children's Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
