Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk

Staffmark is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk to join a leading company in the manufacturing industry. This is a full-time, on-site position with a flexible daytime schedule and excellent benefits.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000/year

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred
• Experience in a Medical Device environment is a plus
• Must be able to remain seated for extended periods and operate standard office equipment
• Ability to travel up to 5-10% as needed
• On-site presence required during standard business hours unless otherwise approved by management

Responsibilities:

• File all Accounts Payable documentation
• Prepare check run proposals for senior finance approval
• Match checks with invoice documentation and manage mailing after signatures are obtained
• Resolve payment discrepancies and ensure proper credits for outstanding memos or PO amendments
• Reconcile GRIR (Goods Received/Invoice Received) account monthly
• Handle new supplier credit applications and maintain accurate supplier data (banking info, W-9s, etc.)
• Report sales/use taxes based on paid invoices
• Oversee 1099 tracking and filing
• Review Purchase Orders, approve against budget, and process accordingly
• Process and verify Travel & Expense reports with proper approvals
• Respond to accounting and finance-related questions by researching and interpreting data
