Job Description

Visa and Visa DPS have a wealth of Identity, Authorization, and Fraud data accumulated over years of innovation and acquisitions. These rich datasets, when mined effectively, provide invaluable insights to enhance cardholder experiences, mitigate fraud, and improve authorization rates for our partners across the ecosystem. The Visa DPS Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) team leverages these insights to deliver top-tier risk and fraud mitigation tools and services to our issuing partners. Analytics are a cornerstone of our product strategy, enabling continuous performance monitoring and optimization.

We are seeking a talented Product Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will focus on data exploration and enhancement, trend analysis, and integrating data from multiple systems to improve the tools, services, and reporting we provide to both internal and external stakeholders. This role will involve close collaboration with engineering, data science, and other Visa product teams to fully understand the data landscape and develop strategies that provide a holistic view of transacting individuals and their Visa cards.This role is also part of a key team within the Risk and Identify Solutions organization and requires partnership across the Issuing and RTP Risk Solutions team as well as the DPS business.This extends to Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Operations, and Legal teams, as well as the broader Issuing Solutions organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Exploration & Enhancement:Develop and implement data exploration strategies to inform product requirements and identify opportunities for data enhancement.

  • Data Cleansing & Standardization:Design and build algorithms to cleanse and standardize data, ensuring high-quality and reliable datasets.

  • Exploratory Data Analysis:Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand new data sources and uncover insights that drive product innovation.

  • Metric Development:Develop and track key performance metrics that are critical for monitoring the health of the product suite.

  • Analytical Research:Perform analytical research to explore how Risk & Identity Solutions can add value to various use cases and simulate potential outcomes.

  • Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with technical, business, and partner teams, adapting communication styles to effectively convey complex data insights to diverse audiences.

  • Business Case Development:Partner with fellow product analysts to develop business cases and revenue forecasts, supporting the strategic vision of the DPS RaIS product suite.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, analytical and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence successfully within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Proficiency in data platforms such as Hadoop, Tableau, Power BI, and Metabase.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in fraud and risk management, or identity and access management.
  • Subject matter expertise in payments processing, with relevant experience in product and feature delivery.
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills.
  • Organized, with a natural inclination for both strategic and tactical planning and turn strategy into tangible deliverables.
  • Possess a unique combination of product expertise, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and comfortable with rapid changes.
  • Ability to structure, manage, and coordinate complex workstreams and processes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and aptitude to think creatively to identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 100,000.00 to 141,250.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
