The Role and Team The Enterprise Applications & Analytics team is part of corporate IT and is responsible for supporting, developing, managing and enhancing the set of enterprise applications which are the platform that delivers Medallia's business processes. The group focuses on engagement with the line of business to continue and calibrate solutions that best fit Medallia's business needs. In addition the group focuses on design, development and deployment of an enterprise decision support system to provide enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities. We work in a fast-paced environment and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running managing multiple responsibilities and projects while producing high-quality work. The Enterprise Applications & Analytics team is part of Corporate IT and is responsible for supporting, developing, managing, and enhancing the set of enterprise applications that power Medallia's business processes. The group focuses on partnering with business units to evolve and scale solutions that align with company goals, deliver measurable outcomes, and enable world-class operational performance. Design and deliver high-quality solutions cost-effectively As a Sr. Solutions Architect, Salesforce & GTM Apps, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, design, and strategic evolution of our Salesforce and GTM apps ecosystem. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, and IT to architect solutions that are scalable, secure, and business-aligned. You will also be a key part of our Center-of-Excellence (CoE) governance team, helping to intake, evaluate, prioritize, and deliver initiatives aligned with company priorities, ensuring that investments in Salesforce and connected systems deliver meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strategic advisor to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams, understanding their objectives and translating them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to shape roadmaps, identify business value opportunities, and align technical initiatives with strategic outcomes.
- Facilitate solution workshops to capture requirements and align design choices with business priorities.
Solution Architecture
- Design end-to-end solutions including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, CPQ, and custom apps that balance scalability, usability, and maintainability.
- Lead evaluation of new features and technologies across Salesforce and third-party ecosystems to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Provide architectural oversight on complex projects, ensuring consistency with enterprise architecture standards and patterns.
- Drive build vs. buy decisions and manage trade-offs related to scalability, performance, cost, and technical debt.
- Ensure thoughtful integration across platforms such as NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, Okta, Adobe Workfront, and others.
- Lead complex Salesforce configurations such as multi-step approvals, custom territory models, advanced flows, CPQ setup, dynamic Lightning experiences, etc...
- Design and implement integrations with key enterprise platforms such as Servicenow, Workday (HCM data), NetSuite (finance), Snowflake (analytics), DocuSign (contracts), Clari, ZoomInfo, Adobe Workfront (PSA), marketing automation tools, Snowflake, etc... to ensure seamless business operations and unified customer data.
- Architect secure, scalable API-based integrations using Boomi or custom middleware to support Quote-to-Cash, Lead-to-Revenue, and Customer support processes.
System Configuration & Technical Orchestration
- Perform hands-on work on complex configurations, including security, automation (flows, Apex), dynamic record page, territory management, record types, page layouts, and validation rules.
- Design and optimize data models, business process automations, and data flows across systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead development of APIs and integrations using Boomi, ETL tools and other integration methods.
- Lead DevOps to ensure robust CI/CD processes, sandbox strategies, and release management using tools such as Copado, Jira, and Github.
Governance, Compliance & Innovation
- Participate actively in the Salesforce Center-of-Excellence (CoE) to intake, prioritize, and govern change requests and enhancement initiatives.
- Support data governance, privacy, and security requirements in compliance with regulatory and internal controls (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation, identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and better user experiences.
Team Leadership & Development
- Serve as a mentor to other Salesforce admins, developers, and analysts, promoting architectural excellence and solution ownership.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/partners to support project delivery, knowledge transfer, and operational support.
- Provide support during incidents and problem resolution, as well as guidance during new feature rollouts and major platform upgrades.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of Salesforce platform experience, including hands-on solution design and architecture.
- Deep expertise with core Salesforce products: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Salesforce Platform.
- 5+ years of experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, API integrations, and declarative automation tools.
- Proven experience leading complex Salesforce initiatives from planning to delivery in a global enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, or Technical Architect Path credentials.
- Experience serving on a Center-of-Excellence (CoE) or governance team, with a proven ability to evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on strategic alignment, technical feasibility, and business impact.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications such as NetSuite, Workday, Okta, Adobe Workfront PSA,
- Varicent, Servicenow, Snowflake, and Tableau.
- Strong reporting and analytics background, including native Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and potentially Tableau Analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and tools like Jira, Copado, or similar.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and guiding technical teams.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $133,600 - $239,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors.
