Job Description: Vitro Architectural Glass is seeking a dedicated CVD Supervisor to join our team in Carlisle, PA. The CVD Supervisor will be responsible for directing and supervising all activities related to the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process, ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Direct and control the activities of all personnel related to production.
  • Prepare and maintain records, conduct investigations, and prepare reports as directed.
  • Make decisions to correct minor problems and escalate unusual circumstances to CVD Engineers.
  • Conduct frequent rounds of the CVD and Bath areas to check the performance of personnel and equipment.
  • Maintain communication with Tank, Wareroom, Quality Control, and Maintenance Departments.
  • Insert, remove, and set the CVD coaters inside the bath.
  • Adjust CVD coaters to ensure product specifications and quality guidelines are followed.
  • Oversee the reception, storage, and inventory control of all CVD chemicals.
  • Train and develop CVD Operators.
  • Lead all emergency simulations related to the CVD process.


Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of glass-making experience, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds repetitively and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.


Working Conditions:



  • Rotating 4 crew schedule, 24x7 operation
  • Weekends, holidays and overtime required
  • Manufacturing environment
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and climbing ladders or stairs.
