Essential Job Responsibilities:
As the Director-IT Data and Analytics, you will be responsible for the effective design, development, delivery, and operation of data warehousing, business intelligence, data integrations, and data management systems and services for the Carrix family of companies. As part of this role, you will partner with the business, fellow executives, and vendors in the overall planning and management of data-related technology services. As the Director, you will also be accountable and responsible for managing the successful operation of data and analytics infrastructure and for the effective and efficient design and engineering of data solutions used to support all business processes across Carrix. As a member of the IT leadership team, you will contribute to the development and execution of the Data and Analytics strategy and ensure its alignment with the organization's IT and business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success.
- Set the mission, vision, and strategy of the Data and Analytics organization to maximize the success of organization and IT enterprise initiatives.
- Manage and direct the implementation, operation, and improvement of all data systems.
- Act as the liaison between Carrix IT and Carrix business management for Data and Analytics.
- Introduce innovative, differentiating data and analytics capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities and enhance employee productivity.
- Work with the IT leadership team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget, and work with key stakeholders to measure and prioritize technical debt remediation.
- Build successful stakeholder relationships with other IT stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of organizational needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services.
- Regularly monitor work tickets for appropriate assignment and priority to ensure service levels are met or exceeded while maintaining customer and client satisfaction.
- Investigate service incidents, drive them to conclusion, and provide regular management updates.
- Maintain control over all regional projects to ensure they are completed within planned time estimates and ensure effective status reports are regularly created.
- Assume overall responsibility for the quality of data and analytics production activities.
- Develop and control the annual Data and Analytics budget to ensure that it's consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise and is within plan.
- Define, develop, and manage a comprehensive and integrated Data and Analytics landscape, based on best-practice processes, disciplines, and related toolsets.
- Collaborate with the Director of Cybersecurity to ensure Data and Analytics contributes to, embraces, and applies security strategy.
- Operate a formal governance mechanism to establish and monitor effective controls for the processes and functions performed by Data and Analytics teams.
- Work collaboratively with direct reports to support their career progression, nurture their development, and help them realize their potential.
- Hire, train, and develop Data and Analytics staff, including remote and outsourced staff.
- Keep track of trends and provide direction on emerging technologies to incorporate into services to successfully deliver the overall IT strategy.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Master's Business Administration (MBA) a plus.
- 10+ years' experience in at least three disciplines, such as data engineering, technical management, architecture, or operations.
- 5+ years' experience in an increasing leadership role with management responsibilities of technical staff, spanning physical locations.
- Demonstrated track record of leading high-performance teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals.
- Strong experience developing staff including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Strong experience establishing and improving DevSecOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Strong experience leading data and analytics adoption (at scale), including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects, and modifying target operating models.
- Ability to connect and communicate with a wide range of people and teams and can provide clear directions and expectations to both business leaders and technical resources.
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and work comfortably with ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal skills, readily connecting with others and able to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels in the organization.
- Experience using goal-setting methodologies.
Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Deep knowledge of current and emerging data technologies and practices, and how other organizations are employing them. (e.g. AWS, Azure, Boomi, Informatica, Snowflake, Power BI).
- Expert leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate the Data and Analytics vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the IT and business strategy.
- Expert ability to evangelize and implement transformational initiatives where the target state includes agile, DevOps, release engineering, and technology adoption at scale.
- Expert influencing and negotiation skills in complex environments where resources required for success may fall across different areas.
- Expert analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Expert ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
- Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the Carrix organizations.
- Expert ability to build data management solutions, including solution development, integration, and ongoing engineering aspects.
- Expert ability to create self-service mechanisms to streamline data provisioning, reporting/analytics, and ongoing management.
- Proven ability to develop and implement governance practices to track and measure the quality of data and services and maintain service improvement plans.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment, or remotely from home.
