As a Security Professional - Logistics Screener in Beltsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Pay Rate: $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Screen individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verifying credentials and documentation as required by site policies.
• Communicate with site personnel and visitors in a professional manner while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activities according to site protocols.
• Assist with regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, based on site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
