Our Finance Team in Corporate Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join them. You will report to the Accounts Payable Manager and will have a hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, NY. To be considered for the Accounts Payable Analyst role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:
Typically, an associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, and over two (2) years of experience in accounts payable or a related function.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, specific to the purchasing and accounts payable processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze data through advanced formulas and functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Previous experience with the accounts payable functionality within accounting systems (e.g., SAP ECC/SAP S4) would be beneficial. Excellent skills in communication, organization, and attention to detail are a must! Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work on-site; relocation assistance is not available for this opportunity.
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will:
Address and resolve accounts payable inquiries promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions. Process high volume accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by working closely with buyers, vendors and other departments. Research and analyze payment or invoice-related issues, ensuring timely resolution. Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors to address questions and concerns. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for accounts payable. Adjust and update accounting records as necessary. Conduct evaluated receipt settlements (3-Way Match) to ensure accuracy. Process various types of invoices, including auditing and entering data into the AP system, handling recurring invoices, and managing one-time invoices. Execute timely and accurate payments. Embrace and apply Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies to enhance processes. Engage in Business Process Management and Knowledge Management initiatives. Efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various accounting systems and Microsoft Office products.
