Service Helper

Allied Mechanical Services is seeking a dependable and motivated Parts Runner / General Helper to support our field technicians and warehouse team. This entry-level role plays a key part in ensuring parts and equipment are delivered quickly and efficiently to job sites, while also assisting with general warehouse and facility tasks as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a growing trade industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Parts Delivery:
  • Safely and promptly deliver parts, tools, and supplies to technicians at job sites or client locations.
  • Pick up parts from local vendors or suppliers as directed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of deliveries and pickups.
• Warehouse & Inventory Support:
  • Assist with receiving, labeling, and stocking incoming parts and supplies.
  • Help prepare parts for outbound orders, including packing and staging for delivery or WILL CALL pickup.
  • Assist in maintaining warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• General Labor & Shop Support:
  • Support technicians with loading/unloading tools and equipment.
  • Perform light maintenance or cleaning tasks in the shop and warehouse.
  • Help with parts returns, including boxing and labeling for shipping back to vendors or manufacturers.
• Safety & Team Support:
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while driving and working in the shop.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and field technicians.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical tasks throughout the day.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic.
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations or mechanical parts (a plus, but not required).
• Ability to follow directions, prioritize tasks, and work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Prior experience in parts delivery, warehouse work, or trades support.
• Familiarity with commercial refrigeration or HVAC parts.
