Position Description Summary: |
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (
MFA) seeks a senior, full-time faculty member in the Department of Neurosurgery. The
MFA is an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University. The Department of Neurosurgery's faculty are committed to patient care, cohesive and focused team building, administrative leadership, as well as resident and medical student education.
This non-tenure track position, expected to start as early as Fall 2025, will be made at the academic rank of full professor and with a salary commensurate with experience. |
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: |
Responsibilities include delivering excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and pursuing scholarly interests consistent with our academic mission. |
Minimum Qualifications: |
Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in Neurosurgery, have completed an
ACGME-accredited residency in Neurosurgery at the time of appointment, and be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching, as evidenced by teaching evaluations, excellence in research, as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and excellence in clinical care, as evidenced by experience and professional references. |
