Job Title: Agile Scrum Master_L3

Location(s): Fort Mill, SC

Job Description:

As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating and guiding the Scrum process for one or more teams. You will ensure that the team adheres to Agile principles and practices, and you will help the team to continuously improve their processes and deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the project's scope and timeline.
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders).
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Help teams implement changes effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity.
  • Familiarity with software development and use JIRA board, Confluence.
  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile practices and principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth and efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with product owners, development teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Monitor and Report: Track team performance metrics, project progress, and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Promote Agile Practices: Advocate for Agile methodologies within the organization, helping to drive Agile transformation and maturity.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts within the team, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, helping the team to enhance their processes and practices.


Requirements:


  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in an Agile development environment, with at least 5 years as a Scrum Master.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required. Advanced certifications such as Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes and technologies. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their best.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Agile Tools: Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.


Preferred Skills:


  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
