POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensures that all shipments are packaged properly to prevent damage. Checks part numbers on each part, compares with part numbers on shipper. Maintain integrity of purchase order and stockroom receipts and issues. Ensure compliance with all federal and regulatory shipping and export requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check/pack each order for shipment to the customer
• Type bills of lading for each shipment
• Call freight companies for pickup of shipments
• Type shippers/shipping labels for shipment to customers
• Compare parts/supplies with packing slip to ensure they are correct
• Deliver parts/supplies to various departments
• Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
• Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Attention to detail for purchase and stockroom receiving processes
• Accurately perform transactions in ERP system
• Process customer parts receiving within ERP system to required timeline

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to read/write in English
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Must possess basic math skills
• Valid Nevada driver's license required
• Current acceptable DMV drivers record (mandatory)

The specific SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE preferred for this position are:

• Previous experience in operating 6,000 lb. Capacity forklift
• Previous shipping/receiving, stockroom, and foreign documentation experience
• High degree of professionalism with a focus on customer care
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong computer skills
