This position will report to our EnerSys Energy Systems business, which servesthe telecom, cable broadband, industrial, renewable, and data center markets. Our portfolio combines our stored energy expertise with power systems, enclosures, and renewable energy products to deliver world-class solutions for diverse applications such as 5G, broadband, Internet of Things (IoT), data center, and solar power. Our cutting-edge technology includes Lithium batteries, Fault Managed Power Systems, and Extended Run Time battery backup systems that improve the reliability and resiliency of broadband networks.

Job Purpose

Join the Reserve Power and Engineered Services Project Management team, supporting today's fast-moving digital world. EnerSys has an immediate need for a Project Manager for its growing services division. With a focus on customer service, this position provides management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment. The Project Manager Service typically manages multiple $50k or less projects, ensuring that specifications and safety procedures are followed and that the work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical lead for service-related project design, planning, and delivery
  • Interpret schematics, BOMs, CAD drawings, and specifications to develop cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Generate proposals, quotes, and technical documentation in coordination with Sales, Engineering, and Operations
  • Analyze feasibility and define project cost structures, including material takeoffs, labor hours, and pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency in product and service execution
  • Track engineering deliverables, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion
  • Support installation quality and system performance reviews; escalate and resolve design issues as needed
  • Facilitate project closeout, documentation handover, and lessons learned reviews
  • Participate in design improvement and cost optimization initiatives across product and service lines
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in project engineering, technical design, or proposal management
  • Strong understanding of electrical components, schematics, and power systems design
  • Proficient in Excel (formulas/macros), MS Project, CAD tools (AutoCAD/Visio), and Gantt scheduling
  • Proven experience developing cost estimates and design documentation
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
