Job Description:

Salary Range: $120,0000 - $125,000 per year; Depends on Experience 

Essential Duties:

  • Strategic & Operational Leadership: Develop, communicate, and execute a comprehensive vision and roadmap for the university's digital collaboration platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Atlassian Suite), ensuring alignment with organizational goals, strategic priorities, and enterprise wide efficiency initiatives. Oversee the strategic direction and daily operational excellence of these platforms.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a high performing team of IT professionals responsible for the administration, configuration, and optimization of assigned enterprise platforms. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team.
  • ITSM & Process Optimization: Direct and participate in the overall development, administration, and evaluation of technology processes and procedures, with a strong emphasis on leveraging ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) to streamline workflows, enhance service delivery, and drive operational efficiency across the university.
  • Platform Administration & Optimization: Oversee the comprehensive administration, configuration, integration, and continuous optimization of critical platforms such as ServiceNow (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, etc.), Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management), and other enterprise collaboration tools, ensuring stability, security, and scalability.
  • Drive Adoption & Impact: Champion and drive the widespread adoption and effective utilization of enterprise collaboration tools to maximize productivity, enhance cross functional collaboration, and improve the overall employee and student experience across the university's diverse user base.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Participate in the formulation of the annual budget, manage ongoing operating budgets, and oversee resource allocation to ensure optimal investment in digital collaboration technologies and staffing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Liaison: Conduct direct liaison with university IT staff, departmental leaders, and key stakeholders to understand ongoing operational needs, inform application development, and optimize existing technology resources.
  • Project Implementation: Direct the successful implementation of complex platform related projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Administer the application of relevant IT policies and best practices.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge and experience of ServiceNow, or other Enterprise ITSM Platforms 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Atlassian Products
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the research, instruction, and administrative functions of the area assigned.
  • Experience in management and supervisory principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current information technology best practices, including technical aspects (computer, data centers, facilities, and instrumentation laboratory strategies) and support aspects (TQM, customer service techniques, organizational issues).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budget management methods and techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, concepts, and practices of organizational management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current government regulations and how they impact the privacy and security of information.
  • Experience in planning for information resources and technology.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with faculty, administrators, service professionals, and staff.
  • Evidence of effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in problem solving and decision-making.
  • Experience in effectively managing, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to model empathy, compassion, and emotional intelligence.

  • Activities primarily take place in a standard, climate controlled office environment and may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, or moving between office spaces.
