Thermal Barrier Coatings Technician (A Shift)

SUMMARY: The Thermal Barrier Coatings Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks such as part masking. This role will be responsible for applying specialized coatings to aircraft components, particularly those exposed to high temperatures, such as engine parts. These coatings are crucial for the performance and longevity of these components.




  • A Shift is 5-8 Hour days Monday through Friday.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and achieve company goals
  • Surface Preparation: Cleaning and preparing components for coating, which may involve blasting or other methods.
  • Masking: Protecting specific areas of the component from the coating process using masks, fixtures, or other materials.
  • Coating Application: Applying thermal barrier coatings using specialized equipment such as manual, semi-automatic, or robotic spray systems.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the tools and equipment used in the coating process.
  • Following and completing work instructions and contributing to process improvement.
  • Safety Adherence: Following safety procedures, especially when handling chemicals.
  • Other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • High School Diploma
  • 2+ year of relevant/technical work experience
  • Maintain an orderly and productive work environment.
  • Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret CMM's
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team



PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:



  • Associate's degree


  • 4+ years of aviation maintenance experience



OTHER:



  • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
