Overview

R&P is looking for a motivated professional who wants to join our team. We are a mid-sized defense contractor providing program management, ship design, production, cyber risk management, testing, logistics, financial management, test and evaluation, configuration management, post-delivery, fleet introduction, light manufacturing, as well as maintenance and repair services to our government clients and industry partners. We need a senior-level Waterfront Engineering Tech ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment in support of the Strategic & Theater Sealift Shipbuilding Program (PMS 385) and specifically to the Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF).



Responsibilities

    Apply ship production experience in the areas HM&E Test and Quality Assurance.
  • Provide investigation of and resolution for engineering issues while referencing ship specifications, shipyard contract, drawings, models, and other technical documentation. Perform shipchecks as required.
  • Assist in the development of Work Packages, Statements of Work, and specifications to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Develop weekly reports (SITREPs, Metrics) on production engineering issues, corrective actions, physical progress, shipyard performance, etc.
  • Identify risks and provide analysis of emergent issues to include recommendations for risk mitigation and/or resolution. Identify lessons learned for incorporation in future ships.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or 7+ Years' of directly relevant waterfront experience in a shipbuilding environment in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment (i.e. shipyard)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 compliance (preferred)

Salary
