Netsmart is seeking a Functional Specialist to join our high-impact team focused on delivering innovative healthcare IT solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with solution strategists, clients, and engineering teams to define and validate functional requirements, ensuring alignment with client needs and product goals. You'll support the Agile development process by reviewing user stories, conducting product demos, and approving solutions for release. Ideal candidates bring a strong mix of healthcare IT experience, technical acumen, and communication skills to help drive successful solution delivery. Responsibilities

  • Work with solution strategists and clients to understand, document, analyze and communicate moderately complex solution requirements to key stakeholders.

  • Leverage internal tools, processes and standards to estimate high level solution and requirement costs.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and visual designers during development process.

  • Deliver solution and functional status reports to stakeholders, including sales, consulting and clients.

  • Verify the solution meets functional requirements and approve the solution for release.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and provides education for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • At least 3 years of testing, development or solution-related work experience

  • At least 1 year of Agile development work experience

  • At least 1 year of health care information technology (HCIT) solution strategy or consulting work experience

  • At least 1 year of software development experience contributing to or reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria
