The Cohen lab in the UNC Neuroscience Center is searching for candidates with course work exposure to Neuroscience, Biochemistry, and related areas. We are requesting a 1-2 yr full-time research assistant. Preference will be given to those with substantial research experience, those with molecular biology background, and especially those applicants that are proficient in western blotting, which is a technique that will be heavily used primarily to answer questions about protein levels and protein changes that occur in Alzheimer's model that have been developed in the lab.

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Must have research experience, and demonstrated proficiency in western blotting techniques. General knowledge of applicable area of science to perform laboratory procedures and tests in support of research protocol.

Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills is preferred.
