The UNC Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a post-doctoral Research Associate to join the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. This position will work on a number of bench science research projects focused on immunometabolism within the Department. Responsibilities include interacting with internal and external collaborators, designing and performing experiments, assisting with interpretation of data, preparing figures for grants and publications, as well as acting as a mentor for undergraduate and graduate students as needed.

Position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal or doctoral degree.

Demonstrated ability to implement laboratory procedures, conduct research and records findings. Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and to communicate data in a clear, concise manner. Computer literacy including the ability to use a variety of software packages to analyze data.

Possesses ability to preform job duties as required.

Works in laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological, chemical and radioactive hazards. Must be physically able to wear protective equipment.
