Overview

A Consultant will work directly with customers to define, design, and enable advanced ArcGIS enterprise solutions through Professional Services engagement and project activities. A Consultant will work closely with Esri customers, distributors, and partners to establish and define solutions to make customers successful and broaden the effect of Esri technology. In addition, a Consultant will participate in and serve the Esri community with a diverse scope of consulting, risk management and project management efforts.

The Transportation team supports our Highways, Transit, Port, Airport and Rail customers. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate Consultants, Project Managers and Technical Experts to deliver solutions that enable our customers to make a difference in their organizations and communities around the world. You will be part of a delivery team that implements critical technologies that improve quality, reliability and accessibility to data and geospatial capabilities.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Denver, CO area for this position.

Responsibilities



  • Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art, GIS technology-driven solutions through the implementation of Esri's enterprise GIS technology
  • Manage complex projects and programs
  • Lead innovative proposals and win work that showcases forward-leaning solutions; mitigate challenges through proper escalation to achieve project and program completion
  • Lead projects teams during the requirements, analysis, design, and build/configuration phases of ArcGIS enablement
  • Provide vision and thought leadership regarding consulting, risk management, project management, and technology best practices to advise Esri customer on helping them make better decisions
  • Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare Esri software implementation and migration strategies
  • Discover the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in Esri`s products and services by assisting in outstanding proposals and winning work with strategic customers
  • Work with Esri's professional services, marketing and sales teams to develop new business
  • Foster a sense of community among colleagues and our customers, distributors, and partners


Requirements



  • 5+ years of professional experience in GIS project management and/or GIS consultancy
  • Proven experience in engaging, creating, designing, and implementing GIS solutions/systems that leverage Esri software products
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to technical peers, project managers, and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical solutions
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget
  • Professional experience winning new work in collaboration with sales and business development teams including proposal management experience preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of work, staffing, and pricing
  • Proven ability to develop and create project designs, work plans, project budgets, and project timelines/schedules
  • Ability to engage, collaborate, and facilitate with customers, internal and external teams, and stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn - you must thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Planning, Engineering or related field

Recommended Qualifications



  • Experience in the integration of ArcGIS with common Transportation enterprise systems, such as: asset management, work management, linear referencing, fleet management, safety management, construction management, capital investment planning, field mobility solutions, and raster data management systems
  • Ability to lead and manage consulting, configuration and software development teams
  • Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analysis, or similar geospatial technology
  • Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
  • Master's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related STEM field

$82,160 $138,320 USD
