Sentry's Compliance & Development Tech position is an entry level position responsible for the timely development of policy documents, forms and manuals within their applicable maintenance systems to ensure users and policyholders have access to applicable policy information.

This position will be located at our office in Stevens Point, WI or at our office in Edwardsville, IL in a hybrid work model and is not a fully remote opportunity.

For this position, Sentry does not offer employment to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas.

What You'll Do

As the Compliance and Development Technician you will work with Sentry systems to develop and maintain the format, state availability, and attributes of policy documents, rates, forms, and/or manuals in applicable systems. You will also need to collaborate with members from the Corporate Underwriting, Products and IT teams to ensure accuracy of coverage forms, manuals and state filing exhibits.

In addition, you will:

  • Maintain knowledge of products, systems and processing of forms for state availability

  • Create and maintains forms, manuals, charts, and bulletins to ensure generated documents, information, and system availabilities are accurate

  • Ensure adherence with state filings by keeping accurate records

  • Proofread and verify information to assure accurate verbiage

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

What it Takes

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of related work experience in Insurance or Commercial Lines

  • Commercial and/or specialty lines rating experience and an understanding of commercial lines systems and processing preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge, experience, and proficiency in PDF, Excel, and word processing/document development applications (software).

  • Strong analytical, communication, human relations and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work well cross functionally in a team environment

  • Ability to effectively train others on the technical aspects of the position.

  • Ability to work independently to achieve objectives within deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate system downtime or unusually heavy workloads.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Based on qualifications and experience, the salary range for this role is $21.11-$28.99 per hour.
