Position Summary: The Director of Advising and Student Success will develop strategies, manage relevant departments, and leverage partnerships to ensure Yeshiva University undergraduate students are properly supported and set up for academic and social-emotional success. The Director administers and supports academic advisors in two of our undergraduate schools, the Learning Success Center, the Starfish platform, and case management of students at risk. The director is responsible for continuing advancement in the use of Starfish by YU's students, faculty and staff. The director also provides on-going maintenance, administration, end-user support, training and orientations, and coordinates across the college to ensure the effective use of available tools. The director's work supports YU's ongoing efforts to improve student retention and completion rates and ensures exceptional support for all users of the Starfish platform.
Position Responsibilities: * Oversee the operations of the academic advising office and develop and administer strategies to improve the student academic experience
* Oversee class registration operations
* Oversee retention and graduation efforts, track progress and as well as present reports and strategic plans on the progress.
* Oversee the support of at-risk students and student support resources. Moniter students' progress to success.
* Oversee the administration and management of the daily operations of YU's student success technology platform (currently Starfish by EAB), including routine support and troubleshooting for students, faculty, and staff; management of user roles and privileges; platform configuration and workflow customization; system status monitoring; and data reporting. Support student success platform efforts, and subsequent system upgrades, by participating in planning and implementation teams or committees as needed.
* Ensure ready and available access to student resources and monitor utilization and areas of need.
* Manage the annual student satisfaction survey including data analytics, statistical comparisons, and presentation of the data inclusive of strategies for addressing any concerns borne out in the data.
* Ensure all documentation, websites and programs of study are updated and conform to current policy.
* Monitor students' progress towards graduation including tracking major declaration, Enrolled Not Registered, Withdrawals, Leave of Absence, and senior checks.
* Monitor and develop strategies to ensure students close to graduation are supported and assisted to complete their graduation requirements.
* Develop and conduct interactive in-person and/or online training for new students, faculty, and staff on the use of student success software (e.g. Starfish) relevant to their position and needs
* Support the Office of Student Affairs with other related duties as assigned
Experience & Education Background: * Experience as an academic advisor and managing a team of advisors
* Familiarity with Starfish, and the administrator backend.
* Excellent data analysis and Excel skills
* Master's degree in counseling, education, or related field and 7 or more years of experience in higher education with a history of academic advising and a focus on student success, or equivalent experience

* Leadership, hiring, training, and budget experience
* Ability to deal with a university population at all levels
Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
