This exciting career opportunity investigates allegations of insurance law violations and enforces Pennsylvania Insurance Department laws and regulations. You will assist with investigations of insurance companies, producers, and any other persons or entities engaged and operating in the business of insurance within Pennsylvania. Investigations are carried out by analyzing the entities' books, records, and files, including but not limited to checking accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivables, correspondence, complaints, account currents, and operating files. Additional duties entail assisting with interviewing policyholders, witnesses, and insurance company representatives to gather and analyze information, resolve complaints, and recommend appropriate actions. Each claim requires the completion of detailed reports and investigative summaries in order to support findings. This position also involves preparing evidence and providing expert testimony at formal Insurance Department hearings or criminal court in matters resulting from departmental investigations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, however you will be required to report to the office one day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Four years of experience in progressively responsible criminal investigation work, and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
