DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the boiler or boilers in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines to fulfill the steam requirements of the Center. This includes managing and regulating essential equipment for steam generation, such as feed water pumps, forced draft fans, condensate return pumps, fuel oil pumps, air compressors, water softeners, chemical feed pumps, air dryers, PRV stations, as well as pressure, level, and temperature controls. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hour work week
- Work hours may change based on operational needs.
- Position 1: 2nd shift - 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Sunday-Saturday, with rotating days off.
- Position 2: Relief operator - swing shifts 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and 11:00 PM to 7: AM, Sunday-Saturday, with rotating days off.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Utility Plant Operator 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes six months of semi-skilled work experience in the operation, maintenance, or repair of industrial, commercial, or institutional utility plant systems and related equipment.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of an active Class C motor vehicle license.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
