Lipscomb Academy High School Football Defensive Assistant Coach

Lipscomb Academy is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Football Defensive Assistant Coach to join our program. This full-time position plays a vital role on the defensive coaching staff, contributing to strategy development, player growth, game planning, and essential administrative responsibilities.

The duties and responsibilities of the Football Defensive Coach include:

• Break down opponent film to identify tendencies and weaknesses.
• Help develop weekly defensive strategies and game plans.
• Work with position coaches to improve player technique and fundamentals.
• Help coach specific position groups (e.g., linebackers, safeties, defensive line).
• Provide individualized feedback during and after practices.
• Set up and run drills during practice.
• Monitor player performance and effort.
• Ensure drills align with the week's game plan.
• Analyze game and practice film with players.
• Demonstrate professionalism at all times, upholding the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct while fostering strong, positive relationships with players, coaches, parents, and the broader community.
• Cultivate a Christ-centered team environment rooted in service, aligned with the mission and values of Lipscomb Academy.
