JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Mechanical Contractor / First Class Engineer to oversee and execute the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems in an outpatient and inpatient healthcare setting. This role combines hands-on technical work with project oversight, ensuring systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and code compliance. POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plan, install, and commission mechanical systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, piping, and plumbing. * Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and tradespeople on mechanical projects. * Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex mechanical systems. * Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and regulations. * Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. * Manage project timelines, budgets, and material procurement. * Conduct inspections and testing of systems to verify performance and safety. * Maintain accurate documentation including permits, inspection reports, and maintenance logs. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. * Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure project success. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: * Must be a high school graduate or have HS equivalent * Technical or trade School degree or certification preferred EXPERIENCE: * Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering roles. PERFORMANCE COMPETENCIES: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and steam systems. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals. * Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance software. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong leadership, communication and teamwork abilities. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights. * Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, hot/cold). CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: * Must obtain 1st Class Stationary Engineer (limited) license within 42 months of employment. * Must possess and maintain State Mechanical Contractor License * EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification OTHER INFORMATION SAFETY SENSITIVE JOB CLASSIFICATION: This job is classified as a "safety-sensitive" position as defined by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act. Due to the "safety-sensitive" classification, an employee in this position would be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing.
