About the Role: As a Senior Sales Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving successful sales outcomes by translating technical capabilities into strategic business value. You'll partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle-leading discovery, crafting solutions, delivering demos, and securing the technical win. This is a high-impact individual contributor role that also includes mentorship, process improvement, and thought leadership across the broader go-to-market organization. You'll help shape how prospects understand our platform, leverage AI to improve business workflows, and make confident purchase decisions. Your ability to simplify complex ideas and build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be critical to your success.
You Will:
- Lead Pre-Sales Engagements: Partner with AEs throughout the entire sales cycle-owning technical discovery, product demonstrations, and technical validations.
- Design Tailored Solutions: Scope and design scalable, high-value solutions that align with customer goals and technical requirements-leveraging Invoca's platform capabilities, APIs, and integrations.
- Deliver Compelling Demos: Build and present tailored product demonstrations that bring customer use cases to life, simplify complexity, and showcase ROI across various audiences.
- Secure the Technical Win: Anticipate objections, navigate blockers, and align stakeholders across the customer's technical and business teams.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Product, Marketing, Security, and Customer Success to refine messaging, accelerate deals, and deliver unified solutions.
- Support Compliance & Procurement: Assist in security reviews, RFIs, and RFPs-confidently addressing technical due diligence.
- Mentor & Enable: Share best practices, coach team members, and contribute to internal enablement efforts, solution playbooks, and demo environments.
- Drive Innovation: Stay on top of emerging technologies, especially AI, and help shape how we use these tools internally and in customer-facing solutions.
- Support Vertical-Specific Sales: Engage in industry-specific efforts, especially in Healthcare, Insurance, Telecom, and other regulated or complex industries.
You Have:
- 5+ years in a Sales Engineering or Solutions Consultant role within SaaS, Cloud, CCaaS, or MarTech industries. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Direct Experience Selling to LLMs or Agentic AI Use Cases: You've sold into or supported customers actively leveraging large language models (LLMs), generative AI, or agentic AI solutions. You understand how to navigate technical conversations and buyer personas in this space.
- Strong Technical Fluency: Comfortable working with SaaS platforms, APIs, and data integrations; able to design scalable solutions and troubleshoot technical blockers with confidence.
- Consultative Selling Mindset: You understand how to connect technical solutions to customer pain points, KPIs, and business outcomes in a way that drives urgency and alignment.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Whether presenting to a technical team or a C-suite audience, you can clearly and confidently deliver value-driven messaging that resonates.
- Experience with Enterprise Sales Cycles: You've supported large, complex deals with multiple stakeholders, legal reviews, security compliance, and longer sales timelines.
- Growth Mindset & Adaptability: You're naturally curious, open to feedback, and eager to explore emerging technologies (like generative AI and Agentic AI) to enhance customer engagement.
- Collaborative Approach: You thrive in cross-functional settings and bring positive energy to high-performing teams.
- Ownership Mentality: You take initiative, follow through, and hold yourself accountable for results.
Nice to Have's:
- Familiarity with regulated industries and security requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Experience with Salesforce, Slack, or similar productivity and CRM tools
- Background in Voice AI, Contact Center platforms (CCaaS), or marketing technologies
- Previous experience mentoring SEs or leading internal enablement initiatives
