Department: Eastwood Behavioral-Men's Residential Facility in Southfield, MI FULL time- Day Shift- Monday- Friday 9:30am-6:30pm- rotating weekends & holidays. Full benefits are associated with this positio Graduate degree and MI SW license required GENERAL SUMMARY: Provides behavioral health counseling services. Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals. Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations. Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions. Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community. Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association Education: Master's Degree required. MCBAP credential preferred High quality therapy skills Skilled with co-occurring disorders and trauma - Professional and/or personal experience with recovery - - Team mentality as a prevailing trait - Exceptional ability to communicate and problem-solve with others - Self-accountability and follow through - Preferred experience with county systems (FOCUS/ODIN/MHWIN) CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED One or more of the following required: - Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. Licensed Counselor credentialed from the Michigan Board of Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. Licensed Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
