Job Posting End Date:Until Filled Shift: ALL Security Clearance: No Clearance Job Summary Lays out reference points and dimensions on sheets, plates, tubes, and structural shapes for fabricating, welding and assembling into structural metal products. Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position. Qualification Standards Previous experience or training required. Knowledge of trigonometry, product design, metal properties and the ability to do precision work required. Ability to read and understand blueprints, templates and specifications (in English) also required. Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on any shift. Must be able to recognize and avoid potential hazards; which are commonly present in the employee's work area. Must be able to hear warning, signals and read and comprehend safety instructions and regulations. Essential Job Tasks
Materials, Tools Equipment, Work Aids Blueprints, templates, measuring instruments (including compass, protractor, dividers, and ruler), marking implements (scribes soapstone and punches), and various hand tools. Personal protective equipment required. Physical/Mental Involvement Requires repetitive or prolonged sitting, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, balancing, walking, climbing ladders or equipment, reaching above shoulder or out in front, manual dexterity,pushing, and pulling. Seeing and hearing warning signals and reading and comprehending safety instructions. Must be able to maintain general safety awareness and avoid hazards commonly present in employee's work area. Marginal Job Tasks General housekeeping in work areas. May be required to attend safety, quality and/or process improvement meetings. Environmental Factors Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, and gases that could cause problems with respiratory system. Temperature and ventilation could cause discomfort. Exposed to constantly moving machines and mechanical parts. Exposed to high levels of constant noise. PAY SCALE $32.49 - $35.84 This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the hourly range for this role. It takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and education.
