Position Title: Maintenance Technician Wage: $25.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:00pm or 11:00pm - 7:00am Are your skills not being fully utilized? Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on production machinery and facility equipment - Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems - Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests and performing scheduled maintenance during machine service windows - Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams and technical manuals - Operating equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts safely and efficiently - Executing basic machining and fabrication as needed - Diagnosing equipment issues, replacing or repairing faulty components and verifying repairs through testing and adjustments - Completing preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules and work orders - Utilizing hand and power tools, electric meters and other diagnostic equipment - Identifying and reporting abnormal equipment behaviors, defective materials, or unsafe conditions to supervision - Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies Requirements for Maintenance Technician: - Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance or equivalent experience - 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing environment - Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial maintenance practices - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Basic computer literacy and solid math skills - Organized and detail-oriented; strong commitment to equipment care, cleanliness, and safety - Plastic extrusion industry experience preferred - Forklift experience - Ability to stand / walk for prolonged periods - Ability to lift / move 75 pounds sheboygan@qpsemployment.com IND045 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
