Site based role East Hanover, NJ & to be within reasonable commuting distance for regular meetings with stakeholders.

To lead organizational diagnosis and design efforts on complex effectiveness and efficiency projects in the US Commercial business. Role will partner with senior leaders, P&O colleagues (in the US and globally) to advise, guide and deliver transformation and change efforts to optimize business performance.

Job Description

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Develop a cohesive OD strategy that is in line with overall business strategy and drive, with P&O Business Partners, its implementation across assigned project / business areas.
  • Provide OD solutions and consulting expertise to respective business and P&O Leadership teams on developing strategies, leadership, culture, structures and employee motivation, on managing efficiency/effectiveness, change and on M&A integration.
  • Provide counsel and strategic recommendations on the OD organization and tools and processes within the organization.
  • Diagnose organizational issues, deliver actions plans, and drive OD initiatives based on NOHA and other strategic sources of data and analysis.
  • Develop and implement plans to strengthen a current and future looking workforce plan, including partnering with Finance, Global OD and PTDI to pilot technology solutions to evolve this process.
  • Lead the efficient implementation of OD processes and programs across the region / organization (e.g. organizational change projects, Culture development, change management, team effectiveness, SWP).
  • Lead the implementation of OD programs aimed at developing top teams and sustaining a high-level of performance and efficiency within the organization.
  • Build capability and readiness of the line management and P&O organization in change management skills, experience and expertise.
  • Manage the correct and timely implementation of OD policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • At minimum, 10+ years of deep experience in organizational diagnosis and design, to include leading large-scale transformation efforts.
  • Experience as an external consultant, specializing in OD to drive transformation and change in large organizations individually (as lead) and leading project teams (formally or informally) to execute the deliverables.
  • Experience applying the Star-model or other comparable OD frameworks
  • Experience in leading strategic workforce planning efforts in a unit, division or (preferred) across an enterprise.
  • Fluency in English required, excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong collaboration and networking skills.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $160,300 and $297,700 per year.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
