Job Responsibilities
Yarde Metals is looking an Engineered Service Representative. An engineered services representative (level I) quotes and processes orders requiring outside services and special processing working directly with sales, vendors, purchasing and operations.
- Request pricing and delivery for outside processing services with approved vendors.
- Place orders with vendors for special material services and processing based on customer requirements, price, lead time, and vendor standing.
- Perform contract review on customer purchase orders, technical requirements, and specifications.
- Verify raw material source by reviewing mill certification, heats, country of origin, and assign to the order for processing.
- Work with product managers on raw material needs.
- Process sales orders, purchase orders, quotations, work orders, shipments, received material, document scanning, and inventory transfers in ERP.
- Review and proofread material certifications to ensure all purchase order requirements are met.
- Continually monitor supplier due dates and update sales department and customers.
- Coordinate deliveries and material transfers with branches, customer service, and receiving.
- Collaborate with quality on vendor non-conformance and disposition material.
- Assist with resolving order discrepancies with suppliers.
- Assist the purchasing department to process materials for stock requiring value-added services.
- Attend training to become LCS certified.
- Provide sales and operations support to other departments.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Certificate or degree in drafting or related field preferred but not required.
- 2 years of experience related to the duties of the position or in sales support.
- Basic knowledge of heat treating, polishing, deburring, grinding, and lab testing.
- Ability to train and obtain LCS certification.
- Export/ITAR experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong mathematical ability.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time and workload effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
