Position Summary:

Join our team in this exciting role where you will play a vital part in overseeing MRO (Maintenance, Repairs, and Operating Supplies) and capital purchasing activities. You'll have the opportunity to manage blocked invoices to ensure timely vendor payments, facilitate contracts, and resolve purchasing discrepancies. Your expertise will also be essential in tracking budgets for MRO and engineering maintenance, maintaining vendor files, and updating monthly conformance reports. Plus, you'll contribute to our commitment to safety and environmental objectives in the factory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage blocked or parked invoices to ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Facilitate contracts and maintain comprehensive contract files.
  • Address purchasing discrepancies with suppliers and requisitions.
  • Oversee the GR/IR report and coordinate corrections for any discrepancies.
  • Track and develop budgets for MRO and non-proportional expenses related to engineering and maintenance.
  • Maintain vendor files, including competitive bidding documents, maintenance contracts, and special purchasing agreements.
  • Update monthly conformance reports (e.g., purchase orders after invoice receipt, amounts over $20,000).
  • Adhere to factory safety and environmental objectives and targets.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Over 5 years of experience in purchasing, budgeting, and financial responsibilities.
  • Responsible for sourcing and conducting new vendor qualification activities.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and shipping conditions.
  • Proficiency in SAP is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes, contracts, and payment terms.
  • Highly organized with basic proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic technical knowledge related to purchasing and procurement.

The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00.Please note that thepay rangeprovided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
