Aon is looking for an Associate Director of Climate Risk Advisory to join our hybrid team in Chicago, IL!

Aon's Climate Risk Advisory (CRA) delivers physical and transition risk diagnostics, consulting, and risk transfer solutions globally. The team includes 28 climate experts and is embedded within Aon's core business, leveraging over 100 modelers and 40+ scientists and engineers to provide tailored insights that help clients manage climate-related risks.

In this role, you'll drive strategic solution development for CRA's Analytics team, focusing on energy sector clients. You'll apply expertise in physical risk modeling-such as catastrophe and climate models-to identify and scale new solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in risk modeling and a passion for applying it in a dynamic, climate-impacted industry. You'll collaborate with consultants, brokers, and account executives to grow CRA's offerings and deliver impactful solutions to clients worldwide.

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the global growth strategy for Climate Risk Advisory (CRA) solutions, focusing on Energy and other key industry sectors.
  • Lead client engagement and project delivery across geographies, with an emphasis on physical climate risk solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify growth opportunities, refine offerings, and shape strategic recommendations for expanding CRA services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with account executives and brokers to identify prospects and support proposal development and client presentations.
  • Oversee opportunity tracking and pipeline management in coordination with client engagement and strategy teams.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts, represent CRA at conferences and events, and support the development of analytics and publications to showcase Aon's capabilities.
To Be Considered Qualified for This Role
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience.
  • Experience in developing and owning client relationships
  • Experience in building new client offerings, including identification/definition of client needs, value proposition development, and go-to-market strategy and execution
  • Strong knowledge of physical risk modeling, e.g., catastrophe and climate models
  • A strong academic background in a quantitative field such as meteorology, engineering, climatology, or mathematics (advanced degrees a plus).
  • Ability to write complex reports and business correspondence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach.
  • Commitment to client service and business ethics.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
