Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Work closely with Sales, Front, Middle and Back Office(s) to prepare, manage and validate customer usage data and obligations and to also serve as a subject matter expert within the context of developing and maintaining a defined Data Processes for Champion. In addition, this role will also serve as the point of contact for customer fulfillment, providing technical support to the sales team, management and clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison to regional utilities on behalf of Champion and its customers by developing trustful relationships with utility personnel.
- Coordinate with Structuring, Sales, utilities and internal systems (i.e., Revenue Manager) and interface directly with customers and third parties (e.g., energy consultants) to request and obtain historical load/consumption data for new and existing power customers.
- Construct Usage Profile Requests ("UPRs") based on historical customer data and upload into Champion data-management and enterprise-wide pricing system (InRetail) using the InRetail's load/weather forecasting algorithms. Resolve and refresh forecasted data and update consumption forecasts and obligations accordingly.
- Review load forecast UPR and to the extent that data problems are identified, work with InRetail Support Team and other departments as needed to resolve data issues to ensure data accuracy, completeness and to proactively identify data and/or data process issues to innovate and drive data efficiencies within the organization.
- Support Structuring and Sales team by performing numerous commercial activities with little supervision including pricing and credit requests, sales call planning and follow up, and coordination of sales reporting in the CRM system. Contribute to CRM training for new sales team members, and on-going user support for existing sales team members.
- Serve as point of contact for customers seeking to add or delete accounts from service with Champion including coordination with utility company points of contact, sales manager, desk, and enrollments on contracts and internal record requirements.
- Participate / lead ISS data training sessions with data-stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred.
- Three (3) or more years of prior experience with deregulated energy preferred. Experience with administration of complex commercial transactions, desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills, general knowledge and experience with CRM systems, InRetail or Pricing / Data acquisition system experience data entry
- Experience with deregulated energy products and service offerings
- Proven ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
