Risk & Compliance
Compliance Specialist, Regulatory Readiness & Response, PMO Job ID: 98673 Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day?
If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
As a Compliance Specialist, you will be based in North America as part of our Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function. The E&C function's mission is to manage risks to the firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling the firm's client impact and innovation. The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured in a way that ensures that it is well designed, empowered to function effectively, and works in practice. This opportunity works in the Regulatory Readiness & Response pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm adheres to global regulatory and reporting requirements and expectations.
In this role, you will lead day-to-day program management activities, including day-to-day tracking progress of E&C initiatives, as well as problem solving to resolve roadblocks and escalating items for senior support.
You will provide input into building a robust ecosystem of program management systems and tools to drive program execution. You will also support implementation and enhancement of software solutions for program management tracking, using as feasible, common systems and tools used in other functions.
You will engage in conceptual, technical, and analytical problem solving related to our most complex program challenges.
As part of this, you will define and maintain program-level reporting on progress made, outcomes achieved and risks and mitigants, working with other stakeholders to accurately reflect these dimensions in reporting.
You will collect data and prepare regular updates to the firm leadership, E&C program oversight committees, and E&C leadership on the status of initiatives in response to regulatory obligations. You will also lead production of progress updates to internal and external stakeholders on ethics and compliance-related topics.
Another key responsibility would be to identify and surface for discussion of dependencies between different actions undertaken and recommend how these dependencies can be managed (e.g., timing, handoffs).
Depending on program needs, you will also provide "surge" support to workstreams and/or action owners for content development, e.g., support identification of technology needs and impact on systems based on program requirements.
As a member of the E&C function, you will be expected to be a contributor and thought partner within the function, in addition to supporting key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives, as relevant.
You will be required to engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction and coordination of our regional E&C leaders, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of and further our Firm's E&C program, and other agreed-upon supporting activities in your region or location.
Collaboration is a key aspect of this role. You will collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups (e.g., Legal, Risk) across our Firm in a timely and efficient manner on existing, new, or enhanced procedures, policies, or guidelines.
Finally, you will play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our Firm's E&C program and upholding our commitment to integrity and lawful practices. Your Growth
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.
