We Require
An associate's degree in paralegal studies or legal assistance Two years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or related work
OR
Associates in an unrelated field + Certificate in Paralegal Studies - 2 years of experience needed Bachelor's or higher in paralegal studies, legal assistance, or legal studies - no experience needed Bachelor's or higher in an unrelated field + an Associate's or Certification in paralegal studies - no experience needed

Assist attorneys with court proceeding and trial preparation, including preparation of witness summaries, organization of exhibits, securing evidence and documentation, deposition abstracts, subpoenas, and witness notifications Assist attorneys in compiling annotations, indexes, and provisions of statutes, cases, and administrative decisions Review, organize, index and Bates stamp pertinent documents for disclosure/discovery and for use in court Conduct investigations and fact-finding Assist in or conduct witness interviews, collect relevant documents and records, summarize information in detailed written form for attorneys Analyze, organize, review, and verify records and other documents obtained through the discovery process Attend continuing legal education seminars and in-house training
Working Conditions
Office setting which may require extended periods of sitting to perform tasks May be required to drive personal or county owned vehicle to travel to and from various county locations Ability to move up to 20 pounds floor to waist and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds a distance of up to 100 feet
