Ft Dodge, IA, Distribution Terminal opened in 1982 and employs 4 full-time employees. This Nutrien location is responsible for the storage, and distribution of potash products. Our team size facilitates a family environment where teamwork is essential.

This position is responsible for maintaining safe and efficient operation of the terminal area. The role includes handling shipments for both incoming and outgoing product fertilizers, recording data, and making operational corrections as required.


What you will do:




  • Maintain safe and efficient operations of the terminal site.
  • Handle shipments for both incoming and outgoing product fertilizers, record data, and make operational corrections as required.
  • Operate and monitor equipment.
  • Operate computerized and non-computerized control systems.
  • Perform terminal site maintenance.
  • Unload railcars & trucks and loading trucks.
  • Record and enter data readings.
  • Rail operations, able to learn how to communicate with locomotive operator.
  • Manage daily inventory on inbound and outbound products.
  • Load product onto trucks utilizing wheel bucket loaders and material handling systems.
  • Site Administration duties and Oracle.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to local, State, and federal governmental regulations and standards.
  • Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, cutting weeds, pruning, etc.
  • Available to be on call 24/7 when required.
  • Able to be at site in 30mins when on call.



What you will bring:



  • Minimal experience required - on the job training provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Safety mindset.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Team oriented and reliable.
  • Possess intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Work with minimal supervision and self-motivated.
  • Willingness to learn with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Interest or experience in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, aerial-lifts, and front-end loader, tractors, and shuttle wagon.
  • Available for overtime and to be "on-call" to support Terminal during non-typical working hours as required.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally for training courses and/or to assist at other terminals.
  • Must live within a 30-40 miles radius from the site.
  • Instrumentation/electrical experience an asset.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM), experience an asset.
