Annual Compensation: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 DOE

Provides development of and support for a comprehensive employee health, wellness, and resilience program (GMR Life). Aids employees and operations to connect with appropriate resources, disseminate educational and promotional information, and manage wellness situations. Consults with Human Resources and leadership to identify situationally appropriate solutions for employee wellness emergencies. Manages social media presence for GMR Life groups. Coordinates and manages the Peer Support and Critical Incident Response program. Builds and maintains a network of wellness champions across the company. Serves as companywide point of contact for wellness solutions and GMR goodwill ambassador to the emergency response community.

Responsibilities:

  • Along with other team members, coordinate and manage the GMR Peer Support and Critical Incident Response program
  • Respond to provide guidance, coordination, and support in the wake of critical incidents
  • Collaborate with the Director of GMR Life and Manager of Clinical Mental Health to expand and promote wellness offerings throughout GMR
  • Coordinate and manage wellness programs in collaboration with Human Resources, Benefits, and local Operations including onboarding and NEOP opportunities
  • Consult as needed with other company personnel to manage wellness crises
  • Develop and maintain robust wellness communication channels in collaboration with Communications and Marketing
  • Create timely educational content targeting emerging needs of personnel and Operations
  • Serve as an ambassador to the emergency response community for GMR's wellness innovations
  • Along with the Therapy Dog Team Manager, assist in managing the wellness subsidiary groups including the Therapy Dog Team
  • Assist in managing the Chaplaincy Program and the Peer Support Teams
  • Provide tailored support and resources to the deployed personnel for OEM during federal, state, and local level disaster responses
  • Collaborate with leaders at all levels during crisis response regarding leading through crisis and stress management
  • Consult and coordinate behavioral health care for employees who are seeking residential, intensive outpatient, or other higher level behavioral health care
  • Represent GMR nationally through speaking engagements (conferences, webinars, podcasts, interviews)
  • Travel may be required as needed

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • Minimum bachelor's degree with demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Master's degree in relevant field preferred.
  • Additional education and/or certification in wellness specialties is desired (preferred: ICISF GRIN, Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol, LIFT-C, QPR, and/or ResponderStrong Mental Health Curriculum).
  • Minimum 10-years of experience as a career emergency responder (EMT, Paramedic, Firefighter, Air medical, pre-hospital RN) with demonstrated leadership responsibilities. Leadership role or equivalent experience preferred. Critical incident management experience strongly desired. Prior peer support experience required.
  • Public speaking; creating and delivering educational content through a variety of formats; supervising diverse personnel; building collaborative teams; developing and implementing action plans.
  • De-escalation techniques. Crisis intervention and management. Suicide awareness and intervention.
  • Credentials/Licenses: Prehospital EMS and/or Firefighter credentials are preferred (including EMT-B, AEMT, EMT-P, CCEMTP, RN). Licensed mental health provider with experience working with Responders is also acceptable, including LCSW, LPC, LMFT.
