Our company's measurable growth is in no small part due to our team members in North Carolina, Arkansas, Illinois, and Missouri, who each have a seat at the table to contribute to our success Job Summary Supports the supply chain function by executing short and long-term demand planning activities. Contributes to efficient resource utilization, cost optimization, and the achievement of customer service goals. Collaborates with other team members on procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, production scheduling , order creation, order review, and order management processes. Assists in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimizing supply chain responsiveness. Key Responsibilities 1. Evaluates and interprets historical data, market trends, and demand signals to develop accurate short- and long-term demand forecasts. Continuously monitors and adjusts forecasts based on changes in demand quantity, frequency, and market conditions to optimize inventory levels and ensure supply chain efficiency. 2. Partners with sales, business development, and marketing teams to gather insights for new business opportunities, product launches, item conversions, discontinuations, and promotional activities to refine demand forecasts. 3. Directs and reviews all promotional activities and feature plans to ensure alignment across the organization. Validates large order quantities and estimates from sales teams or brokers against historical data and Statistical Process Control (SPC) forms, questioning discrepancies to maintain forecast accuracy. 4. Updates and maintains demand planning systems and Excel-based tools to reflect changes such as new customers, products, or warehouse locations, ensuring data accuracy and system reliability. 5. Reviews new business activity daily with the sales and customer service teams to ensure orders were entered accurately and forecasts are implemented and adjusted in a timely manner. 6. Responsible for inventory levels by collaborating with supply chain, sales, and business development teams to ensure accurate demand forecasting. Develops and executes strategies to address alert inventory and prevent distress inventory through timely disposition or alternative sales channels. 7. For Vendor Managed Inventory customers, reviews or creates customer orders daily as needed to ensure they have adequate inventory levels in their supply chain to support high levels of sales and prevent issues with out of stocks or markdowns. 8. For Vendor Managed Inventory customers, collaborates with the customer and our customer service, logistics, transportation teams to ensure PO's are received in-full and on-time. Actively maintains systems as changes or discrepancies occur. a. Actively participates in monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, collaborating cross-functionally to align on demand forecasts, inventory strategies, and operational plans. 9. Facilitates cross-functional meetings to align all relevant parties on demand forecasts, incorporating factors such as price changes, store expansions or closures, new distribution channels, or loss of distribution to ensure a unified planning approach. 10. Identifies inefficiencies in demand planning and vendor managed inventory (VMI) processes, proposing and supporting the implementation of actionable solutions to enhance accuracy, reduce costs, and improve service levels. 11. Works closely with supply chain team members to support departmental goals, share insights, and foster a collaborative environment to impact overall team success and achievement of all key performance indicators (KPIs). Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience) 1. Firm knowledge of sales and marketing processes and procedures within a Consumer-Packaged Goods company 2. Solid understanding of supply chain methodologies, best practices, tools, and processes 3. Ample experience in retail dealing with perishable products 4. Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills 5. Good business acumen with the ability to identify and mitigate risks 6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and supply chain planning software (i.e., JDA, Oracle, SAP APO, Infor, etc.) 7. Strong statistical and data review skills with the ability to evaluate, interpret, and identify actionable insights from data sets Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * APICS CPIM or CSCP Physical Demands * While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions & Travel Requirements * Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment. * The noise level of the environment is usually moderate. * Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
