Position Summary Produce digital and print communications that raise awareness and preference for Valley, grow market share, and strengthen the brand. Work with clinicians and staff to keep Valley website and other digital properties promptly updated. Support internal communications by drafting materials and updating vehicles. Education Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field. Experience Minimum of two years of experience crafting digital and print communications for consumer and internal audiences. Skills *Excellent verbal and written communication skills. *Strong editing skills. *Ability to present complex medical information to a consumer audience across print, web and other channels. Ideal candidate can take small amounts of information, independently obtain additional information through internal fact-finding, and present a compelling story and headline. *Knowledge of content management systems is preferred. Knowledge of Associated Press style is preferred. *Desire to continually learn new tools as digital marketing evolves. *Passion for health, wellness and staying informed of medical information in the news media. *Candidate selected for possible interviews will be asked to supply writing samples for review in advance of an interview being offered. Competencies *Produce and post a high volume of digital content for internal and external platforms including website, intranet, and newsletters. Perform daily editorial updates to these and other vehicles. *Work across system to understand the marketing and communication needs of other departments, suggest the best communication methods, and produce material which may include patient-facing collateral, press releases, blog posts, and stories for internal audiences. *Work with digital marketing team to identify optimal content to add to web properties for maximum search performance and reader engagement. Draft identified content. *Work with marketing team to provide support for new and ongoing brand and service-line campaigns across the system. *Support internal communications by producing print and digital content for dissemination to employees and doctors. *Participate in the department's editing and review of each other's work, adding value in editing, crosschecking facts, and providing fresh perspectives when needed. *Effectively contribute to strategy/brainstorming sessions where new marketing ideas and approaches are needed. *Attend employee and community events, which may occur in the evening or weekend, as needed to gather information for post-event communications.
