Summary: Set up and operate saws to cut foam bun stock by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reads work orders or blueprints to locate cutting layout lines on bun stock, to determine dimensions and tolerances, and to determine foam to be cut, cutting speed, and positions of bun stock on saws. Adjust saw controls to required cutting increments. Position bun stock on cutting surface and ensure position accuracy. Starts saw and ensure saw set up is accurate to complete required cutting. Verify conformance to specifications using a tape measure. Calculate best yields from foam bun stock material. Follow 5s and Safety policies Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and/or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional Skills: Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. The ability to write simple correspondence is needed. The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization is required. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs is required. Ability to read a tape measure or micrometer in increments of 1/32 or more is needed. The employee must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. |
