Summary of Position
The purpose of this position is to source, negotiate and contract vendor agreements based on customer's program goals and budget. The sourcing manager is responsible for searching for venues, negotiating terms/pricing, and finalizing contracts based on the program's goals and objectives and the program's space requirements. This work is completed within the customer's specified timeframe to meet SLAs.

Responsibilities and Duties
Lead discovery calls to engage customer and learn about the meeting needs focusing on the goals and objectives of the program. Include all internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a collaborative work style by using a consultative approach, actively listening to customer's ideas, quickly assesses information, anticipate issues/outcomes, and make effective recommendations including ability to draw clear conclusions. Escalate to leadership for guidance when necessary.
- Make destination recommendations; submit eRFP's through client preferred Event Technology Platform for a diverse group of customers with consideration of the program goals, objectives, budget, space requirements and preferred properties.
- Produce accurate documents/reports for clients and vendors in conjunction with account needs.
- Conduct effective contract negotiations including terms, due dates, cost savings and concessions.
- Review/modify contract terms as required by customer or venue to meet requirements and following customer's legal/risk review process. Facilitate contract execution between the parties in a timely manner.
- Provide meeting owner/requester a summary of all terms, due dates, cost estimates for budgeting purposes, and deposits.
- Record accurate budget, cost, savings, and contract execution in Cvent or applicable technology.
- Manage program reconciliation, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivables for each program; when applicable. Follow-up to ensure timely payment processing and revenue reconciliation.
- Meet or exceed program timelines and deadlines established by customer or program.
- Responsible for working closely with internal and external meeting stakeholders to quickly resolve any issues that may arise.
- Provide exceptional service and manage the relationship with the meeting owner. Proactively offer professional recommendations to the client based on industry knowledge and expertise. Secure repeat business.
- General industry knowledge of domestic and international destinations, hotel brands and venues.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 3 years venue sourcing experience required, including vendor contracting and negotiation.
- A CMP and/or CMM designation is preferred.
- Technology designations, such as Cvent Event and Sourcing Professional Certifications are strongly recommended.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimal travel required. If on-site, employee employee should maintain a professional demeanor and project a positive reflection of Corporate Travel Management.
- Strong proficiency in meeting technology for example: Cvent; Groupize, Lenos; and other technologies as needed.
- Identify process efficiency opportunities and challenge the status quo. Work with Leadership on efficiency opportunities, account specific best practices and continual enhancements.
- Ability to work evening hours, weekends, and longer hours during high volume periods.
- Basic understanding of Strategic Meeting Management Programs.
- Excellent time management skills.

Pay Range
USD $62,000.00 - USD $74,000.00 /Yr.
