POSITION SUMMARY:

Guhring, Inc., a global leader in precision cutting tools and advanced tooling solutions, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing strategy in North America. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial/B2B marketing, with experience in manufacturing, metalworking, or cutting tools preferred. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, driving brand awareness, supporting sales initiatives, and managing digital and traditional marketing efforts. The individual will collaborate closely with management, sales, technical support, and distribution partners to effectively execute the company's strategic initiatives and drive sales and revenue growth.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support Guhring's sales and business objectives.
  • Oversee branding, advertising, promotional activities, and product launches across multiple channels.
  • Manage content creation for print, digital, and social media, including technical literature, videos, case studies, and application success stories.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the replenishment of product literature and promotional materials to ensure availability for internal and external needs.
  • Support the execution of trade shows, customer training, customer events, and industry sponsorships.
  • Coordinate with German colleagues, product management, sales, engineering, and web development to create market-specific messaging and campaigns.
  • Evaluate current and projected marketing resource needs, and lead the recruitment and onboarding of additional team members as necessary.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and customer data to identify opportunities and guide strategy.
  • Work directly with distributors to develop, execute, and manage tailored marketing campaigns, while also supporting initiatives led or initiated by the distributor.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors including advertising agencies, printers, and designers.
  • Identify, evaluate, and procure branded promotional items to enhance brand visibility and support marketing initiatives.
  • Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns and assess ROI and KPIs.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints and alignment with global corporate standards.
  • Research, recommend, and support the implementation of a Product Information Management (PIM) system to streamline the creation and distribution of marketing assets such as catalogs, brochures, and website content.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to develop engaging recruitment materials that align with the company's brand and culture.



QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or metalworking sectors.
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing, especially within the industrial supply industry.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage strategic marketing initiatives and budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports or cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical content into clear, compelling messaging.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM platforms (Dynamics 365 preferred), and data analytics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel), Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and website content management systems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, training, and customer-facing events.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of metalworking, CNC machining, tooling applications, and industrial distribution.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP a plus).
