Who we are looking for

Purpose

Reporting to the Head, US Health Economics & Outcomes Research, this role will develop evidence generation strategies & establish HEOR and real world evidence (RWE) research strategies and tactics that address US payer needs.

They will ensure alignment with global strategies and approach assigned Chiesi Global Rare Disease GRD portfolio within the United States.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to set the strategy for the US HEOR/RWE group across assigned disease areas within Chiesi Rare Disease Portfolio and in partnership with Lead/Head of US HEOR and US/global cross-functional teams.
  • Effectively manages and communicates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accountable for designing and executing high quality HEOR/RWE research that support the clinical, economic and humanistic value of assigned disease areas within Chiesi Rare Disease's product portfolio.
  • Ensure the conduct of methodologically sound and comprehensive research that addresses priority HEOR/RWE evidence needs, design methodologically rigorous HEOR/RWE studies and projects, in collaboration with internal and external researchers.
  • Supervise the development and refinement of AMCP dossiers, budget impact models, and other value communication tools.
  • Conduct and lead research activities using secondary data sources such as healthcare claims, electronic medical record, as well as other available datasets for HEOR/RWE projects.
  • Accountable to manage the relevant HEOR/RWE budget and delivering projects on time.
  • Collaborate, as appropriate, with other customer-facing teams to provide comprehensive customer support.
  • Complies with all regulatory laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Chiesi U.S. staff for HCEI outcomes and presentations

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in Health Economics and Outcomes/real-world evidence research, US customer-facing field experience, US payer system, and US healthcare system/clinical practice experience required.
  • Experience in rare disease preferred

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Advanced degree (PhD, MS, MPH, MBA) in Public Health, Health Services Research, Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Policy or a related quantitative discipline is required.
