POSITION SUMMARY

The Field Resource Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs that encompass all aspects of New Flyer and MCI field staff job requirements, including product lines and ORACLE Service software. The aim is to cultivate a world-class field workforce through effective training initiatives.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Embrace New Flyer Core Values as a guiding principle for conducting all business within and outside the organization.
  • Develop and maintain training content in the Learning Management System (LMS) and practical training modules.
  • Deliver practical and qualification training sessions for field technicians.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate skill proficiency among field technicians.
  • Maintain and update training records for field technicians and update training metrics.
  • Identify training opportunities by collaborating with Field Resource Development (FRD) and various support groups (suppliers, engineering, New Product Development (NPD), Technical Support Services (TSS), Charger and E-Bus Support (CEBS).
  • Communicate effectively with leadership through regular meeting architecture, on-site training reports (email) and other updates as needed.
  • Create detailed PowerPoint (PPT) presentations and Video for LMS and live classes as required.
  • Complete standard documents accurately, such as expense reports and travel authorizations.
  • Maintain and update an accurate calendar and arrange travel at least two weeks in advance in accordance with New Flyer travel policy.
  • Travel to training locations and publish an accurate calendar of scheduled training.
  • Regularly review the iBus website for updates and information.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Heavy duty mechanical experience, Electrical/electronic troubleshooting experience a plus
  • 2 years Technical College or equivalent
  • 1 year of training experience preferred.
  • Technical writing experience a plus
  • Proficient with diagnostic software
  • Valid driver License

*Travel is required across Canada and the US (50% - 75%)
