Staff Accountant II

Job Purpose

We are currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join our expanding team. Intercontinental Exchange is an innovative company with a fast-paced environment and we are looking for a Staff Accountant who is a fast learner and excels at multi-tasking. This position will be responsible for analyzing financial statements for discrepancies, reviewing and preparing account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and doing their part to ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes of general ledger transaction and journal entries
• Prepares account reconciliations for the more complex accounting areas
• Monthly variance analysis of revenue and expenses
• Assisting with quarterly and year-end audits
• Various ad hoc financial analyses and performing special projects as requested
• Documents and/or updates policies and procedures as needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting function
• Must be proficient in Excel, Oracle Cloud, and/or Hyperion
• Detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with the flexibility to handle multiple job assignments at the same time
